Crush entire package of oreos into small crumbs.
Save 1/4 cup to be used later.
Spread cookie crumbs in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
Melt 1 stick of margarine and mix with cookie crumbs.
Stir well and flatten mixture with fork.
Chill.
