Orange Tea Bread
Orange Tea Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. flour, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. orange rind, grated and 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Combine the orange rind and sugar. Add to the flour mixture. In a separate bowl, combine and beat the egg, orange juice, milk and shortening. Pour the liquid mixture into the flour mixture. Fold in the walnuts, stirring until blended.
Divide the batter between two greased loaf pans and bake at 350Β° until done, about 50 minutes. Makes 2 loaves.
