Cream margarine and sugar and add eggs, one at a time. Dissolve soda in buttermilk.
Add flour alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture.
Roll nuts, candy and date in extra flour.
Add coconut to this and add to mixture.
Bake at 250Β° for 2 1/2 hours.
