Orange Slice Cake
Orange Slice Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 lb. bag orange slices cut small, 1 pt. pitted dates chopped and 2 c. pecans chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Sift together flour and salt, set aside.
Combine together next four ingredients and 1/2 c. of flour mixture. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, sugar and eggs; adding one at a time. Add soda and buttermilk, mix well. Then add flour and fruit mixture alternating until it is blended.
Pour batter into a 10 inch tube pan; bake at 300Β° for two hours or more.
