Orange Slice Cake
Orange Slice Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. sifted flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 lb. sliced orange slice candy, 8 oz. pkg. pitted dates, chopped and 2 c. nuts, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Sift flour and salt together.
Combine fruit with 1/2 cup flour mixture.
Cream butter and sugar until light.
Add eggs, 1 at a time.
Beat well after each addition.
Combine soda and buttermilk.
Add to combined mixture with remaining flour mixture. Blend well after each addition.
Stir in candy; mix well.
Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 300Β° for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
