Orange Refrigerator Cookies
Orange Refrigerator Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening or oleo, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. orange juice, 2 3/4 c. flour and 1/4 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Cream shortening and add sugars gradually, beating constantly. Add egg and beat well.
Stir in orange juice and rind.
Sift flour, soda and salt together.
Add to creamed mixture.
Blend well.
Stir in nuts.
Form into four rolls, wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap and store in refrigerator until ready to use.
If carefully wrapped, rolls will keep for 3 to 4 weeks.
Cut in 1/8-inch slices and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 to 12 minutes.
Makes 5 to 6 dozen.
