Orange Refrigerator Cookies
Orange Refrigerator Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1/2 c. white sugar, 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed, 1 egg, beaten and 1 tbsp. grated orange rind, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream the butter and sugar together.
Add the egg and the orange rind and juice or extract.
Beat vigorously.
Then add the dry ingredients, sifted together.
Shape into two rolls and cover with wax paper.

Slice one-fourth-inch thick. Bake in a hot oven, 400Β°, for about ten minutes.
Makes about thirty cookies.
