Cream sugar and brown sugar with Crisco and butter.
Add eggs. Sift flour, soda and cream of tartar together and add to butter mixture.
Add gumdrops, nuts and vanilla; stir well.
Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 350Β°.
