Orange-Glazed Carrots
Orange-Glazed Carrots is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. carrots, diagonally sliced, 1/2 bag (16 oz.) small onions (whole) or 1 small chopped onion, 2 tbsp. frozen orange juice from concentrate, 1 tbsp. packed brown sugar and 1 tsp. fennel seed, crushed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In medium saucepan, over high heat, bring 1-inch water to boil.
Place steamer basket in saucepan; add carrots and onions. Reduce heat to medium.
Cover; steam until just tender (8 or 10 minutes).
Remove basket from saucepan; keep vegetables warm. Place orange juice, brown sugar and fennel seeds in another saucepan.
Cook about 1 minute, stirring until syrupy.
Return vegetables to this mixture and toss.
