Orange Date Nut Cake
Orange Date Nut Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 2 c. white sugar, 4 eggs, 1 1/2 c. buttermilk and 1 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating between each addition.
Dissolve and stir soda in buttermilk. Alternate adding flour and buttermilk mixture.
Add rind, dates and nuts.
Bake in tiny buttered muffin tins at 325Β° for approximately 20 minutes, or bake in greased and floured tube pan until a toothpick inserted into middle of cake comes out clean. While still hot, spoon over the glaze.
