Orange Buttermilk Salad
Orange Buttermilk Salad is an moderately easy salad you can prepare in about 1 hour 30 minutes. Made with (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained), (6 oz.) pkg. orange jello, c. buttermilk, (8 oz.) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed and c. chopped nuts (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
In saucepan, bring pineapple to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Add jello and stir to dissolve.
Add buttermilk and mix well.
Cool slightly.
Fold in whipped topping and nuts.
Chill until mixture mounds.
Pour into 8 1/2-cup lightly-oiled mold or pour into an 11 x 7 x 2-inch dish.
Refrigerate.
Makes 12 servings.
