Onions, By George is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 large bermuda or vidalia onions, sliced, 2 tbsp. butter, 2 c. swiss cheese, grated, 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken or mushroom soup and 1/2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Saute onions in 2 tablespoons butter until wilted and transparent.
Remove from heat.
Add cheese, soup, milk, soy sauce and pepper.
Spread mixture in 9 x 12-inch baking dish.
Slice French bread in 1-inch slices.
Butter top of each slice and place on onion mixture.
Bake at 350Β° for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly and bread is browned.
