Onion Soup
Onion Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 to 6 medium onions, peeled and sliced, 2 cans beef or chicken broth, 2 cans water, 3 tbsp. butter and pepper and garlic powder to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Saute onions in butter until limp and tender.
Add broth, water and seasoning.
Simmer for 1 hour.
(You really don't have to, but I like to let the flavors blend.)
Ladle soup into ovenproof bowls; top with a slice of bread and cheese.
Broil until cheese bubbles.
