One-Step Chili
One-Step Chili is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground beef (95% fat-free), 1 3/4 c. (15 oz. can) pinto beans and liquid, 1 3/4 c. (14 1/2 oz. can) cut up, peeled whole tomatoes with juice, 2/3 c. (6 oz. can) tomato paste and 1/2 c. chopped onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Combine all ingredients in microwave-safe 2-quart casserole. Put microwave on High for 5 minutes.
Stir to break up meat and microwave additional 20 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
Makes 5 1/2 cups.
One cup equals 4 ounces protein, 1 starch, 1/2 cup cooked vegetable.
