Start with sliced sausage.
Cut them bite size.
Brown sausage in large skillet.
Add onion and saute with sausage.
Add peas and water; stir.
Add rice.
Cover pan with lid.
Stir occasionally.
With heat turned very low, simmer approximately 1 hour.
Serves 6 to 8.
