Old Virginia Applesauce Cake
Old Virginia Applesauce Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 2 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1 1/2 c. applesauce and 2 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cream shortening.
Add sugar gradually.
Add beaten egg and applesauce.
Sift flour before measuring.
Use a little flour over raisins and nuts.
