Old Time Peppermint Cake
Old Time Peppermint Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. butter, 1 2/3 c. sugar, 3 eggs, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Combine butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in large bowl.
Beat on high speed for 3 minutes.
Combine flour, cocoa, soda, baking powder and salt.
Add alternately with water to creamed mixture. Add candy.
Pour into 2 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans. Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Cool completely and frost.
