Old Fashioned Tea Cakes
Old Fashioned Tea Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 4 eggs, 2 sticks butter, 1 tbsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Combine sugar, butter and eggs; blend thoroughly.
Sift flour with salt, baking powder and nutmeg.
Add to sugar mixture alternately with milk.
Mix until dough is smooth.
Drop balls of dough from an ice cream scoop onto a greased cookie sheet, or roll out dough about 1/2-inch thick on a floured cutting board and cut into desired shapes, then place on cookie sheet.
Bake in a 375Β° oven for about 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 2 1/2 dozen cakes.
