Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies
Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/4 c. flour, 1 tsp. soda, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. shortening and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Mix together shortening, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
Beat well, then add sour cream.
Add flour mixture until well blended.
Roll out on floured surface about 1/4 inch thick.
Cut and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake on greased cookie sheet at 425Β° for about 12 minutes.
Makes about 2 1/2 dozen.
