Old Fashioned Bread Pudding
Old Fashioned Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. dark brown sugar, 1 c. raisins, 2 c. milk, 1/8 tsp. salt and 3 slices bread, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

In top of double boiler, place the cup of brown sugar.
Butter the 3 slices of bread with the 2 tablespoons of butter and dice into small pieces.
Sprinkle on top of sugar.
Do not stir.
Add 1 cup raisins; don't stir!
Beat 3 eggs with the 2 cups milk, 1/8 teaspoon salt and the vanilla.
Pour over bread.
Do not stir! Place over simmering water and cook for one hour.
The brown sugar will form a sauce.
Serve hot or cold.
