Old-Fashioned Apple Pie
Old-Fashioned Apple Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 to 6 large cooking apples, 3/4 c. plus 1 tbsp. sugar, 2 tbsp. flour, 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Slice apples to fill pie pan.
Transfer to bowl and mix with sugar and cinnamon.
Line pie pans with pastry.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of flour in bottom of pan and stir with fingers.
Mix apples with 3/4 cup of sugar and remaining flour. Pile apples in pie pan and dot with butter.
Put on top crust and crimp.
Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 400Β° for 40 minutes.
