Mix first 4 ingredients.
Add eggs.
Mix cream of tartar and soda.
Add to first mixture.
Add vanilla.
Roll into balls the size of walnuts.
This is rather soft dough.
Roll in white sugar. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
Flatten with bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
Yield: 60 cookies.
