In mixing bowl, stir together the sugar and the flour.
Add the whipping cream.
Lightly cream vanilla and teaspoon salt. Beat with mixer for about 6 minutes or until fluffy and thickened. Cover and let the cream mixture stand for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
Pour filling into unbaked pie shell.
Bake in 415° oven for 10 minutes.
Reduce to 375° and bake pie for about 20 minutes or until filling doesn't jiggle.
Store in refrigerator.
