Oatmeal Cookies
Oatmeal Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. shortening, 1/2 c. white sugar, 1/4 c. water, 1 c. flour and 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cream together shortening and brown and white sugar.
Add 1 well beaten egg; add water and vanilla.
Mix well.
Sift together flour, salt and baking soda; add to cream mixture.
Then add oats and mix well.
Shape into small balls (walnut-sized).
Then dip a glass into a small amount of sugar and mash each ball.
(May need to moisten the bottom of glass first.)
Bake at 350Β° for 8 to 10 minutes.
