Oatmeal Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. white sugar, 2 tbsp. cocoa, 1/2 c. milk, 1/2 stick oleo or butter and 1/2 c. peanut butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix sugar and cocoa together.
Add milk and cook over low heat about 1 minute, stirring well to dissolve sugar.
Add oleo; keep beating to melt.
Do not overbeat.
Remove from heat.
Stir in peanut butter, vanilla and oats.
Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper to harden.
