Oatmeal Chocolate Chips

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the shortening, brown sugar and granulated sugar.
Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Combine the baking soda, salt and flour and add to creamed mixture.
Knead until thoroughly combined.
Add oatmeal and chocolate bits; continue to knead until well mixed. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake 15 minutes. Yields 1 dozen.
