Oatmeal Carmelitas
Oatmeal Carmelitas is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 2 c. quick oats, 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar, 1 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Blend together flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda and salt.
Add enough margarine to hold mixture together.
Press 1/2 of mixture into a greased 9 X 13 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over first layer.
Blend caramel with 2 Tbsp. flour and spoon over chips and nuts.
Sprinkle the other 1/2 of crumb mixture on top.
Bake 20 minutes or more.
Cool completely or chill before cutting.
