Oatmeal Carmelitas

Blend together flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda and salt
Add enough margarine to hold mixture together
Press 1/2 of mixture into a greased 9 X 13 pan
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes
Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over first layer
Blend caramel with 2 Tbsp. flour and spoon over chips and nuts
Sprinkle the other 1/2 of crumb mixture on top
Bake 20 minutes or more
Cool completely or chill before cutting.
