Let oatmeal and boiling water stand for 30 minutes.
Cream shortening, brown sugar and white sugar.
Add oatmeal mixture. Sift together flour, cinnamon, salt, soda and baking powder.
Mix together and bake in 350Β° oven for 35 minutes.
