Oatmeal Cake
Oatmeal Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. boiling water, 1 stick oleo, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

π¨βπ³ Instructions
Pour boiling water over oatmeal and oleo.
Cover and let stand 20 minutes.
Add sugars, eggs and vanilla.
Sift together salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, soda and flour.
Add to first mixture and mix well.
Bake in a large flat pan for 30 minutes at 350Β°.
Remove from oven and spread topping on hot cake.
Place under broiler for 3 to 5 minutes.
