Oatmeal Cake

Stir boiling and oatmeal together and let stand 20 minutes.
Shortening with the sugars.
Add eggs and beat in.
Sift dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture. Add oatmeal beat well.
Bake in a greased and floured 9-inch square pan at 325Β° for 35 to 40 minutes.
Frost with Coconut Topping.
