Heat oven to 375Β°.
Mix brown sugar, butter and egg thoroughly.
Stir in oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Shape dough by tablespoonfuls into 1 1/2-inch balls.
Place 1-inch apart on ungreased baking sheet; press down with fork.
Bake until almost no indentation remains when touched, about 9 minutes.
Cool slightly; remove from baking sheet.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
