Oatmeal Bread
Oatmeal Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. oatmeal, 4 tbsp. molasses, 2 tbsp. oil, 2 tsp. salt and 2 c. boiling water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix together oatmeal, molasses, oil and salt; cover with the boiling water.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add yeast, 1/2 cup warm water and sugar; add about 6 cups flour.
Knead 8 to 10 minutes.
Let rise until double.
Punch down and put into greased loaf pans.
When double, bake at 375Β° 40 to 50 minutes.
Coat top of bread with margarine after it comes from the oven for softer crust.
