Nutcrackers
Nutcrackers is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp. sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, 4 tbsp. cold water and 1/4 c. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Heat oven to 425Β°.
Sift flour and 1 tablespoon sugar in medium size bowl.
Cut in shortening with pastry blender. Sprinkle water over mixture; blend gently with a fork.
Press mixture into a ball.
Roll out on a well floured board to 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut out 12 rounds with 3 1/2-inch biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
Transfer to wire rack.
