Nut Rolls
Nut Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 to 10 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 6 egg yolks, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 1/2 lb. oleo, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Combine flour, butter and salt with a pastry cutter.
In another bowl, add sour cream, egg yolks, vanilla and yeast which has been dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water.
Add liquid mixture to dry ingredients and work through with hands until dough is formed. Cover with cloth.
Refrigerate for 6 hours.
Form dough into small balls.
Pass each ball in sugar before rolling out and fill like a jelly roll.
