Nut Cake
Nut Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted flour, 1 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar, 2 1/4 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/2 c. shortening (crisco), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl. Add in shortening.
Measure 2/3 cup milk and flavoring; add and beat for two minutes.
Add remaining milk and eggs; beat for 2 minutes more.
Stir in nuts.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
