Northern Comfort is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pt. heavy cream, 1 c. thick chocolate syrup, 1 tbsp. instant coffee, 1 tbsp. rum or 1 tsp. rum extract and 1 tsp. almond extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Chill beater and bowl containing all ingredients except grahams. Whip. Line a 5 x 9-inch loaf pan with strips of waxed paper. Coat bottom and sides of pan with a 1/2-inch layer of the cream mixture. Alternate layers of grahams and the cream, ending with the cream.

Freeze.

Can be double-wrapped and frozen for up to a month. Before serving, refrigerate the night before after turning out onto a serving dish and peeling off the paper.

Slice into 1-inch slices to serve.
