Mix all ingredients, except vanilla and pecans.
Use large kettle as mixture bubbles.
Stir and watch carefully.
Cook until it forms a rather hard ball when dropped in cold water.
Add vanilla and pecans; stir a few minutes off the stove.
Cool rapidly.
Drop on wax paper with tablespoon.
Yields approximately 40 small pralines.
