Cream together butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix together flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Add flavorings.
Spoon batter into a greased 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 325° and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool; remove from pan.
