A flaky, all-purpose pie crust made with shortening, an egg and a splash of vinegar for tenderness. Yields two crusts that hold up to any sweet or savory filling.

Mix flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.
Cut in shortening. Add the egg, vinegar and cold water.
Roll as thin as you like. This is enough for 2 double 9-inch pies.
