Never Fail Brisket is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 to 6 lb. single brisket, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and 1 pkg. kosher dry onion soup mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Season brisket to taste with onion powder, garlic powder and pepper.
Broil in pan for 10 minutes on each side.
Be careful not to burn meat.
Add 2 cups hot water to onion soup mix.
Add 12 ounces apricot jam and 1 cup ketchup.
Pour mixture over meat. Bake 3 hours at 350Β°.
Better if made the day before.
Freezes very well.
