Cover bottom of pan with oil.
Shake and coat beef with Durkee brown gravy.
Brown beef in oil.
Add water to cover meat.
Add onion soup mix.
Cover and cook 1/2 hour.
Add potatoes.
Cover and cook 1/2 hour.
Last 10 minutes add carrots.
