Mystery Bars
Mystery Bars is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 30 minutes. Made with saltines (salted), plus a few extra to fill in, c. butter, c. brown sugar, (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips and c. walnuts, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Line cookie sheet with foil.
Spray with Pam or equivalent. Place crackers on pan in a single layer (like a checkerboard). Mix and boil butter and brown sugar for 3 minutes.
Pour mixture over crackers.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 minutes or until crackers float and/or mixture bubbles.
Take out of oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Chips will melt and should be spread evenly over pan with back of a spoon.
Sprinkle pan with nuts.
Score individual crackers with knife.
Refrigerate and finish cutting when cold.
Keep bars refrigerated or in freezer.
