In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine the egg, milk and honey; stir into flour mixture just until combined.
Turn onto a floured surface; knead 8 to 10 times.
Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut with a floured 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter.
Place 1-inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 425Β° for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
