Mushroom Pâté
Mushroom Pâté is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 shallot, minced, 1 (8 oz.) pkg. fresh mushrooms, finely chopped, 1/4 c. unsalted butter, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

In heavy skillet, saute shallot and mushrooms in butter; add pepper, salt and lemon juice.
Cook over low heat for 20 to 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
Stir in 1/2 cup toasted walnuts.
Refrigerate overnight.
Serve in crock at room temperature with crackers.
Garnish with parsley and walnuts. Yields 1 1/2 cups.
