Mud Hens
Mud Hens is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 1 c. sugar, 3 eggs, separate 2, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Cream butter and sugar; add 3 egg yolks and 1 white and beat until smooth.
Add vanilla.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and beat in butter mixture until blended.
Pour into 9 x 14-inch pan which has been lightly greased and floured.
Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
Beat last 2 egg whites and gradually add brown sugar.
When stiff, spread over batter.
Bake at 325Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cut into squares while hot.
