Bake cake according to directions; cool completely.
Make pudding according to directions on box; cool completely.
In a large bowl, crumble 1/4 of cake.
Cover with 1/4 of pudding. Cover pudding with 1/4 Cool Whip.
Continue layering until all ingredients are used.
Put in refrigerator to chill thoroughly.
