Mother's Icebox Cookies

Sift dry ingredients together.
Cream margarine and sugar. Add egg and mix well, then add dry ingredients and nuts.
Divide dough into 4 parts.
Shape into long rolls, each roll will be approximately 1-inch in diameter and about the length of the width of wax paper.
Bake at 375Β° for 11 minutes.
Yields 2 (1 pound) coffee cans.
