Mother's Chocolate Pie
Mother'S Chocolate Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 2 c. milk, 2 egg yolks, 5 tbsp. flour and 2 tbsp. cocoa (heaping tablespoons), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Mix sugar, flour and cocoa together.
In separate bowl, beat milk and egg yolks together; strain.
Mix all ingredients and cook in double boiler or heavy sauce pan until very thick.
Pour into cooked pie crust.
Dot with butter.
Beat egg whites until fluffy. Add 4 Tbsp. sugar and beat until stiff peaks.
Pour over pie and brown in preheated 350Β° oven until lightly browned.
