Mother's Chocolate Cake
Mother'S Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 9 tbsp. shortening, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 9 tbsp. cocoa, 3 eggs, well beaten and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cream sugar and shortening together.
Add well beaten eggs and milk.
Sift flour, salt, cocoa and baking powder together.
Sift twice.
Add to first mixture.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour into 3 greased and floured cake pans.
